Prosecutor Profile:
|
|
While a prosecutor for Jefferson Parish, Ronnie Bodenheimer awarded
prizes to his colleagues - such as a large hypodermic needle on a
plaque - in “celebration” of securing a death sentence.
Bodenheimer’s attorney recently told the “New Orleans Gambit”
newspaper that the plaques “weren’t anything official, just an
‘atta-boy’ kind of thing between colleagues.” After being elected to
the bench, Ronnie became the center of controversy with tales of
shady business deals, an investigation into a conspiracy to plant
drugs, attempts to use campaign contributions to meet costs of his
legal defense and ultimately a conviction.
